SUMMARY:Parker Canyon Lake with Luke Safford
DESCRIPTION:Friday, November 10: Parker Canyon Lake\nRegistration Required: $35/member, $50/non-member\nThis 130-acre, deep water lake is tucked back on the west slopes of the Huachuca Mountains and because of its location is under-birded but holds great potential. Grassy hillsides dotted with oaks may hold Montezuma Quail, Mexican Jay, Western or Eastern Bluebirds, Bushtits, and more. Waterfowl will be coming back for the winter and there’s an outside chance at Bald Eagle. Bring a lunch with you and some hiking shoes, plan on walking on trails for around 2 miles at most. We’ll meet at a pre-determined place at 6:30am to carpool to the lake and we’ll plan to be back about 2pm. Limited to 10 participants.\nField Trip Leader: Luke Safford\nPhoto Credit: Gadwall by Martin Molina\n
