DESCRIPTION:January 18- Thursday, 8:00 am- John F. Kennedy Park\nTrip difficulty: Easy. Two-mile loop over paved and dirt pathways with some slopes and uneven footing. Restroom facilities are available.\nJohn F. Kennedy Park in southwest Tucson is located west of I-19 off of Ajo Highway. Bird life here is more abundant in winter when the lake attracts large numbers of waterfowl making it a great place to study ducks, including the stunning Redhead, which can be present in large numbers. Vegetation around the lake attracts Bronzed Cowbirds, Yellow-rumped Warblers and a variety of other species, while the lawns and pine trees attract Vermilion Flycatchers, woodpeckers, and others. Dress warmly in layers, wear your walking shoes, bring your binoculars, and come get to know one of your local urban birding hotspots.  Meet in the west parking lot near the lake which is accessed from S La Cholla Blvd. Limit 12 participants.\nLeader: Holly Kleindienst (hollykleindienst@gmail.com)\nRegistration for this trip is free.
