DESCRIPTION:Wednesday, May 29th- 7:00am\nTrip difficulty: Moderate/Difficult. 4 mile round trip loop with elevation gain, and some rocky and uneven terrain. \nDo you like to hike as much as bird? If so, then you will enjoy this trip birding from Proctor Road to Madera Picnic Area at Madera Canyon, one of the most renowned birding destinations in the United States. We will begin in the desert grasslands at Proctor Road, and bird our way up through mesquite bosque, cottonwood-sycamore-riparian, juniper-live oak, and finally ponderosa pine habitat. Target species include Arizona Woodpecker, Mexican Jay, Wild Turkey, Bridled Titmouse & Painted Redstart.\nWe will meet in the Proctor Rd parking lot. $8 Day Pass required per vehicle, and available for purchase at the parking lot.
