SUMMARY:Arivaca Cienega with Luke Safford
DESCRIPTION:Friday, May 17: Arivaca Cienega, 6:00am – 10:00am\n$35/member, $50/non-member\nTrip Difficulty: Moderate. Mostly flat walking trails on some uneven and rocky terrain.\nJust outside of the small town of Arivaca is the Buenos Aires Wildlife Refuge where efforts to reintroduce the Masked Bobwhite are being undertaken. For this adventure in the refuge our birding efforts will be focused at Arivaca Cienega where we’ll walk a fairly easy trail looking for spring migrants and breeding birds. Specific birds to look for include Gray Hawk, Thick-billed Kingbird, Botteri’s Sparrow, and Yellow-breasted Chat. Limited to 10 participants.\n \nHeader image: Dusky Capped Flycatcher by Shawn Cooper\n
