DESCRIPTION:Trip Easy: Walk 1-2 miles on level grass, paved and dirt paths.  \nLimited to 10 participants. \nIf you’re new to birding  this trip will help you get started. We’ll move slowly and practice identifying birds by shape, sound, color, and behavior.  You’ll get to know some of the common birds in Tucson and be introduced to helpful resources for new birders.  We’ll have fun exploring the fields, pond, and pecan grove in the park and will walk about 1 mile.\nThis park contains mixed habitats including urban park (grass, ballfields, manmade pond), an old pecan orchard, and edges of native trees and shrubs.  Expect a mix of urban-adapted birds such as house finches, lesser goldfinches, various species of doves, hummingbirds, flickers and woodpeckers, plus a variety of waterfowl. \nMeet in the parking lot off of N.
