DESCRIPTION:Friday, September 20: – Peppersauce Canyon with Luke Safford and Scott Crabtree, 6:30am – 11am\n$35/member, $50/non-member\nTrip Difficulty: Moderate to Hard. The road/trail leading uphill from the Peppersauce Campground is wide, but a bit rocky in places and is at an incline. We will walk up about 1.5 miles making for around 3 miles round-trip.\nA fairly under-birded canyon on the north side of the Catalinas, Peppersauce offers great habitat for a number of mid-elevation birds including Acorn Woodpecker, Mexican Jay, Bridled\nTitmouse, and Scott’s Oriole. Fall migration should be in full swing, so there is the potential for warblers like Nashville, flycatchers like Olive-sided, and Green-tailed Towhee. Montezuma Quail have been heard up here too! We’ll start birding at 6:30am from the parking area, carpooling will be available.
