DESCRIPTION:Desert Purple Martin Evening Roost Viewing\n\nThe Desert Purple Martins are getting ready to migrate south, and many of them gather in Sahuarita nightly to communally roost in the pecan groves. Tucson Bird Alliance has found a location that a large number have been using lately, south of Sahuarita Road, and you can join us to watch the evening spectacle of the birds feeding over the pecans and coalescing into a tight group before dropping into the trees to spend the night.\n\n\n\nWe will be offering this field trip four evenings in a row! Just a few minutes away, we will park on a very wide shoulder off of Nogales Highway to watch for the gathering of Desert Purple Martins. They usually go down before 7:30pm.
