SUMMARY:Rio Vista Natural Resource Park with Gary Bachman & Scott Olmstead
DESCRIPTION:Saturday, June 20th, 6:00 AM\nTrip difficulty: We will meet in the developed area near the parking lot. An improved network of trails provides access through the park. The trails are evenly graded and wide. They may be slippery if it has rained recently. The total walk will be about 1.5 miles at a leisurely pace. This is an easy, casual walk on well-formed, mostly level paths. \nApart from the parking area where we meet, most of Rio Vista Park is managed by the City of Tucson to maintain its natural state. It is open scrub, and there will be good opportunities to view regular residents, and summer migrants. We will likely see flycatchers, hummingbirds, verdins, and maybe gnatcatchers, sparrows and a few surprises.
