DESCRIPTION:Registration for this trip is free.\nTrip difficulty: easy, paved trail, restrooms, water fountains, abundant parking.\nWe will start at 6:30 am.  Beginning birders will find this trip a good introduction to our local birds.  This park is welcoming to participants with mobility concerns who prefer enhanced accessibility.  Along with accessible parking and bathrooms, the park has about a mile of paved trail with just a few gentle slopes that travels through desert scrub, palms, and willows. Anna’s, Costa’s, and Broad-billed Hummingbirds, Vermilion Flycatcher, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and Phainopepla are a few of the birds we might see.   Bring water and a hat.  Wrap up around 08:30 am. Limited to 12 participants.\nDriving directions:  McDonald Park is a Pima County park, located on Harrison Road just north of the Catalina Highway. Please meet at the small parking lot immediately adjacent to Harrison Road.  This parking lot is south of the main park entrance.\nThis program is offered in partnership with Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation (NRPR).
