SUMMARY:Family Birding Walks at Mañana en el Parque!
DESCRIPTION:Tucson Bird Alliance is offering two family birding walks as part of Mañana en el Parque, an outdoor family fun event cosponsored by Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation. The two scheduled walks will take place at 8:00-8:45am and 9:00-9:45am. Advanced registration is encouraged, but not required!\nCalling all families! Kids of all ages and their guardian(s) are welcome to join Marie Davis and her son on a nature walk as a part of Mañana en el Parque! We’ll explore the ponds and surrounding areas at Desert Haven Natural Resource Park. We’ll definitely look for birds, but we’ll also stop to investigate anything interesting in nature that catches our eyes. And after the walk is over, families are encouraged to join in the other fun activities at the event! Please see here for more information about Mañana en el Parque. ( https://tucsonbirds.org/?mec-events=manana-en-el-parque-mornings-in-the-park )\nIf you have some, please bring binoculars and a field guide. (If you don’t have either of those, don’t worry, I’ll bring some for you to borrow.) Wear comfy shoes for walking. Bring water and snacks (but please don’t feed the birds!).\nEach walk is limited to 12 people (not counting children under 3). All children must be accompanied by at least 1 guardian. Trip Difficulty: Easy. Walking about 1 mile on sidewalks and some uneven ground (grass and dirt). Bathrooms and drinking water available. Sign up for one session, as both sessions will follow the same route.\nLeader: Marie Davis\n \nHeader Image: Vermillion Flycatcher by Mick Thompson\n
