DESCRIPTION:Elegant Trogons are among the most popular and charismatic of Southeast Arizona’s celebrity bird species. For 10 years Tucson Bird Alliance has coordinated volunteers from all over the state to count our breeding population of these amazing birds every May as part of the Arizona Important Bird Areas program. We will discuss the results from the last decade and the natural history of these Sky Island habitat birds.
