DESCRIPTION:Registration for this trip is free. Register here beginning Nov 12, 7:00 AM.\nTrip difficulty: easy, paved trail, restrooms, water fountains, abundant parking.\nWe will start at 0800. Beginning birders will find this trip a good introduction to our local birds. This park is welcoming to participants with mobility concerns who prefer enhanced accessibility. Along with accessible parking and bathrooms the park has about a mile of paved trail with just a few gentle slopes that travels through desert scrub, palms and willows. Anna’s, Costa’s, and Broad-billed Hummingbirds, Vermilion Flycatcher, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and Phainopepla are a few of the birds we might see. Bring water and a hat. Wrap up at 0930.\nDriving directions: McDonald Park is a Pima County park, located on Harrison Road just north of the Catalina Highway. Please meet at the small parking lot immediately adjacent to Harrison Road.
