SUMMARY:Practice Birding by Ear – Isabella Lee Natural Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Difficulty: Moderate. Walk 2-3 miles primarily on dirt paths that are uneven and sandy in places. No restrooms or water available.\nThis trip is intended for people who have experience birding in the Sonoran desert and who want to practice birding by ear. We’ll explore the mesquite bosque along the Agua Caliente wash and, if time allows, the pond at The Lakes at Castle Rock. We expect to see a good variety of species. It could be cold when we start out so dress appropriately.\nMeet in the parking area at the very end of N Bonanza Ave (there are two small parking areas – park in either one). N Bonanza Road is accessed by taking a right turn from E Tanque Verde Rd after The Lakes at Castle Rock community.
