Birds & Bicycles on the Chuck Huckleberry Loop with Gary Bachman
Thursday, July 16th, 6:30 AM
Trip difficulty: moderately easy, relaxed riding on the paved Chuck Huckleberry multipurpose trail on bicycle – stopping to identify birds, plants and habitat.
Within the city of Tucson, the Chuck Huckelberry Loop follows major drainages and passes by and through many of the city’s parks and habitats. Accordingly there are several “hot spots” identified along the Loop as well as a few likely spots that are not. Based upon the monsoons we will opportunistically identify a route impacted by the rains, where we are likely to find birds.
Particpants should have bikes that are in good working condition, and able to meet at a location that will be identified a few days before the date of the field trip.
Limited to 5 participants.
Meetup location: TBD
Leader: Gary Bachman
**Registration for Tucson Bird Alliance Members is free. Non-members can join for a non-refundable fee of $5.**
