As you’re driving into Patagonia on SR82, you see the signs on your right/west just before the town: Wilderness Preserve and you said “huh?”. Now’s your chance to see what this under-birded area is all about. A set of three parallel canyons is being managed by Borderlands for creek flow restoration with TBA responsible for bird surveys before and after. We’ll be walking along the shallow canyon bottoms looking for resident birds typical of this habitat and with an eye for the benefits of their work. Wear good walking shoes, bring sun protection along with a small pack with water and snacks. No restrooms or water available. Limited to 10 participants.
Sunrise: 6:22AM
Directions: final meeting instructions by email.
Leaders: Tim Helentjaris (tnhelentjaris@msn.com) and Jennie Macfarland
