Trip difficulty: Moderate, walking along unpaved road but with some elevation change

Trip Duration: Return around noon. Carpooling required.

We’ll be birding a couple of accessible areas in this narrow canyon, consisting of a mix of Sonoran and upland arid habitats.  Box Canyon regularly hosts a number of target species such as nesting Golden Eagles, Montezuma Quail, Five-striped Sparrow, Thick-billed Kingbird, among others.  Who knows what we’ll discover this year?  Bring comfortable walking shoes and sun protection, water and snacks.
