Trip difficulty is ‘easy’. We will cover 1.1 miles over the course of 2 hours.
This is a beautiful City of Oro Valley Park located on Lambert Ln between La Cañada Dr and Oracle Rd. About 70% of our walk will take place in the adjoining La Cañada Wash where the terrain is flat and the ground is semi-firm. This location is excellent for Rufous-Winged Sparrows, Vermillion Flycatchers, Phainopepla, and Gambel’s Quail. There are bathrooms, shade, water, and benches in the park, but not in the wash.
Driving directions: From Oracle Rd, take 1 st Av .35 miles to the NW, take a left on Lambert Ln, then 1.1 miles to the park on the left. From La Cañada Dr., go E on Lambert Ln 1.2 miles and the park will be on the right. We will meet between the playground equipment and the bathroom building.
