El Rio Preserve – Accessible Birding with SAAWR
Join Kimberly Aikins of the Southern Arizona Accessible Wildlife Refuge (SAAWR) and Tucson Bird Alliance Volunteer, Marcia OBara for an outing designed for nature lovers with accessibility challenges; wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices are welcome. On this trip, we will gather at Marana Parks & Rec’s newer birding spot: El Rio Open Space Preserve. Here, we’ll look for migrating waterfowl, Vermilion Flycatchers, and a variety of other species. We will finish by 9:30 am.
Each registered participant is welcome to bring a support person. To view a complete accessibility review for this location, please visit https://gis.audubon.org/birdability/. For more information, email fieldtrips@tucsonbirds.org. Limited to 8 participants.
