The Tucson Bird Count: Data, Discoveries, and You, with Jennie MacFarland
Join Tucson Bird Alliance’s Director of Bird Conservation, Jennie MacFarland, for an engaging virtual talk exploring the Tucson Bird Count, a long-running community science project that tracks bird populations across the region. Jennie will share highlights from the most recent counts, including surprising trends, notable species, and what these findings tell us about birds and changing habitats in the Tucson area.
In addition to the science, this presentation will show how easy and rewarding it is to get involved. Learn how community members of all experience levels can participate, contribute valuable data, and play a direct role in bird conservation. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or just getting started, this talk offers a great opportunity to connect with local research and make a meaningful impact.
This event is free to join. Registrants will be sent a Zoom link prior to the event.
