El Rio Preserve Volunteer Day

El Rio Preserve has become a premier birding spot near Tucson, since the Town of Marana created an eight-acre pond at the site which is approximately 108 acres. The Friends of El Rio Preserve, Tucson Bird Alliance, and the Town of Marana will be hosting a volunteer day to plant native trees and shrubs, and possibly spread native
seeds.

Please wear a hat, sunscreen, close-toed shoes and gloves. Also bring any snacks you’d like and a water bottle. Marana will supply a water container to refill your bottles as needed. Marana will supply tools, but feel free to bring your own favorite tools if you like. We will help further improve the habitat at this peaceful and bird- filled site. This is a great opportunity to visit El Rio Preserve, if you haven’t been there already. Directions: Take I-10 north of Tucson to the Twin Peaks exit. Turn west on Twin Peaks Rd. and turn north at Coachline Blvd. Follow Coachline Blvd until you see the El Rio Preserve parking lot on the right. We will meet at the ramada.

Donate a Vehicle

Cars- Moving Forward Together

Tucson Bird Allaince is able to accept donated vehicles. We use teh proceeds from donated cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, boats, motercycels and even airplanes to help fund our mission. Tucson Bird Allaince partners with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to help run our vehicle donation program. CARS is a nonprofit that has been processing vehicle donations for nonprofits since 2003.
