Santa Cruz River Day of Connection Clean-up at Verdugo Park

The third annual Days of Connection Biodiversity Fiesta celebrating World Water Day is taking place at Verdugo Park. Join Tucson Clean and Beautiful, Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Pima County, Tucson Bird Alliance, Pima County Co-op Extension, United Way and other partners as we come together to celebrate this Day of Connection through a day of fun, stewardship, and connecting with nature and community!
This Day of Connection is happening on Saturday, March 21st between 8AM-10AM in Verdugo Park, located at 902 S. Verdugo Ln.
Tucson Bird Alliance will lead a field trip along the Santa Cruz River from 6:30am-7:30am. Registration is now OPEN!
These experiences bring together local groups and individuals passionate about the natural world and environmental stewardship. At this Day of Connection you can expect to;

- Enjoy music, snacks and beautiful green space with a broad community of stewardship and nature lovers.
- Steward the Santa Cruz by picking up trash with TCB and Sonoran Institute or learn to identify and remove invasive plant species with specialists from Pima County Co-op Extension and Tucson Bird Alliance.
- Meet live animals from the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and experience nature/art workshops at the garden.
- Experience the on-going community efforts in the area being lead by Las Milpitas and members of the Southern Arizona Community Food Bank.
- Connect with Educators with Pima County Conservation Lands and Resources and Regional Flood Control District to learn more about what our country is doing to conserve and celebrate our public lands.
